Is it me or what. You've hardly digested the news of one tournament before another takes off. There's just too much football played these days that some trophies are better beaten down into fake ornamental jewelry. Yesterday Manu, Siasia, today Amuneke again with all the drama. Too much footy. No wonder they are all so corrupt from FIFA to NFF. This summer alone you have Euros, Copa and Olympics soccer. That my friend, is the recipe for football indigestion.

Then you have the other side, the ladies wanting it all as well. If FIFA insists on having a new world champion in age grade soccer every 2 years, it should consider merging the U17 and U21 programs into one cadet tournament. Is it surprising Europe doesn't take age grade soccer serious. Look at the Euros coming up shortly. Everyone wants to play because in a career you may get just 3 shots at it whereas the Nations Cup changes hands so quickly that top players gamble with it knowing many more opportunities abound. You only see them come when their stock flounders.

Nigeria has won the U17 Cup like a gazillion times. Its now like an old wife, reliable but not sparky.
