season however that won't really matter
with Nike about to splash the cash with a
100 million world record breaking shirt
deal according to Spanish paper 'Sport.'
The huge deal would just about eclipse
the 96 million euros that Adidas pay to
make Manchester United's kits and it is
thought that Nike were keen to make sure
that another club didn't leave to go to their
rivals whilst they are thought to have
offered Chelsea 80 million euros to
change from Adidas after the Blues
concluded their deal with the German
company six years early.
Barcelona never used to have a shirt
sponsor before they decided to put world
charity UNICEF on the front of their kits
and they then moved to a proper sponsor
by having Qatar Airways adorn the front of
their shirt. That deal ran out at the end of
the season and they currently have no
other deal lined up.
