Please does anyone know what these creatures are? My wife claimed she always find one or two of these creatures whenever she buys crayfish. This is the first time she brought it to my attention. I am alarmed no doubt as I have never seen anything like this.

Looks like eel.. She should add it to the soup/stew, tastes more better. Speaking from experience ..

those are water snakes

Baby snakes. They are usually that tiny when hatched.

Your carpet looks like snakeskin.....

All na seafood, all join..you know we don't have a system to completely sieve out other aquatic animals from crayfish, how many times have you bought crayfish and you see crabs and all sorts inside..uncountable..

i throw them away

That is why I buy grinded crayfish in a pack or in a bottle at the supermarket. It is free from stones and perhaps all thee strange creatures.

Most probably eels. That's how they look like. They are edible too. No need to be bothered about toxicity issues. They are packed with proteins.
