Can Greenhouse Farming Be Profitable In Nigeria Economy? by domack99(m): 7:13pm On May 28, 2016 |
Hello guys, am kind of curious here. Do you think greenhouse production is really profitable in Nigeria economy. I have read several topics on this forum especially Jethro famous post of Tomato production and marketing where he talks about the two types of markets ( open and Standard market). For a profitable greenhouse in Nigeria one need to target the standard market which include stores and some big hotels. My question is how many of such standard markets are available in Nigeria. Okay there are lots of hotels but my enquiries shows that they all purchase their vegetables from open market as well and not many stores are into vegis as we know Seems in countries where greenhouses thrive usually sell their product per Kg and not in basket sizes as known to most west African countries. So in those countries all market are standard market. Like to know if greenhouse farming can really be profitable here in Nigeria 1 Like |

Is profitable depending on your mindset when setting out. Your mind is a powerful tool. Others might fail doesn't mean you will. In fact, is through the simple that greatness is born. |
