OUR MAN CADETS NEED HELP It is one thing to get admitted into d Academy(MARITIME ACADEMY ORON) and it is another thing to pursue through the school. A school where the application form is now sold for N10,000, after the successful completion of the exams you pay Additional N25,000 for so called screening, ( mind you the screening does not mean you have gotten admission). Even Polytechnics school fees in the North is not up to that. Yes our Cadets needs help; you pay a whooping sum of N148, 950 as school fees for the first semester, N56, 750 for second semester, N56, 750 for third semester and N66, 750 for fourth semester just to obtain a diploma... Not including compulsory payment of hand outs by lecturers. At least since at the graduation they are not enlisted into Nigerian Navy then the Government should make effort to provide jobs for them. So I ask of what use is it to study there? Of what use is the regimentation if they are not paid? Of what use is the NIMASA authority if the students pays high fees?
