Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa is working on a movie titled Omo Ibadan and for this giant step she was hosted by the Olubadan of Ibadanland His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Olasupo Adetunji (Aje Ogungunniso1).

It was a memorable moment for the delectable actress Awelewa popularly called Morili on June 2, 2016 when she was welcomed to the palace by traditional drummers at the king’s palace. She had on a customised T-shirt with the inscription Omo Ibadan.

Morili was in the palace to intimate the Olubadan about her upcoming movie project, Omo Ibadan, a production she was putting together to spotlight the ancient West African city.


The king described her concept as a noble one which he has no doubt will uplift the Ibadan on completion and thus gave her the royal blessings and pledges his supports towards the project.
