I am sure you did not seat on the cash when you collect na, you reach exit point ni so don't complain.

@Akptogun, no shaking I will only need oxygen mask if the price drops to N26. I no gree exit level na N38-N40.

i don't see it dropping below N28 if it indeed does drop further. N26 is unlikely but in our NSE never say never!

@Pumping, enjoy ur loot. ditto to fof2

Unity Bank gave Stochastic and CCI buy signals on Friday.

Nascon also gave Stochastic and CCI buy signals on Friday.

I don't use TA yet sha.

Regarding Unity Bank, for those that are interested you can investigate further (I know Nascon is belated). The combination of this and the rumoured PO could be good for business.

I have heard fibonacci, I just dusted my candles notebook and learning to get a grip of Moving Averages again and now Stochastic. Na wa o.

That's why I got fed up with T.A in the first instance.

Do you also there is another one head and shoulders, it's actually much more simpler!

I will just remain a SENTIMENTALIST

@oxfordkid

i'll leave easi to fill u in on deapcap and the goings on there. from the tech side, seems some turbulence up ahead.

@dollycute

girl, really its not too difficult, just time consuming but when u consider its money involved, well u know now. just concentrate on 3 or 4 indicators and master them, u cant use them all, and u wouldnt want to any way. i favor the macd (simple and reliable), the macd histogram, rsi, and ema and of course the candles. invaluable information. add it to the fundamentals and u have a winner, long and short periods

African Elephant na the original king of the jungle jo. UBA and Zenith come be like wild cats for the jungle wey big bar dey on top them head. Na wa o. Investors wey wan buy the whole of FBN at any price never even look UBA or Zenith side. I go dash my own give my stockbroker o  grin grin grin

I dey find that person wey buy my FBN for N51. I wan collect am back cool cool

When dey tell Una sey Elephant don enter market you think say na joke someone was even talking about bar at N50.00?? All those returned money where do you think it is coming back to? FBN is in a class of its own. Almost 1m applicants for the PO no be joke. Moreover, unlike UBN (they've done me well also), FBN has a forward looking board and management.

Note however, that FBN na still for the long term. 2009, if Jesus tarries go be helele. When the N250bn land for market, na to push other people out. FCMB PO got  less than 100,000 applicants!

If you dey ves for selling @ 51.00, what of those that sold @ 40.00. While forget the emotions and enjoy the loot courtesy of the elephant!

On a more serious note Pumping777,

257,000,000m units of FBN at over N14,000,000,000 is no joke at all.  Could that be an institutional investor who was disappointed in the just concluded PO  Do you know that FBN today accounted for some 51% of the whole market sale.  This ELEPHANT BULLDOZER IS TOO TEMPTING.  I am praying against the temptation as I just bought 20k units only last two weeks at 41.25k  See me see profit and yet I am afaid.  Abeg it is good to be afraiding. grin  I no de SELL

Diamond too no wan here, sales of over N1,000,000,000!!!!!  May be the guy planned it.  Even UBA is not left out.  Sales on UBA, GTB, Oceanic, Zenith and FIRST BANK amounts to over N19bn in one day.  What does the future hold??

Round 2 dey for Deap capital. Tomorrow they should mark down the price for the bonus. Those that did not sell by today will have stories to tell about evaporating paper profit. Whichever way sha, they will still make a kill even if they lose 20% short term. Deap na baba.

The price has been marked down for bonus. Get ready for round 2 jare.

Actually i love reading TA's but the Nigerian market always has a way of discrediting them, the Sentiments are still in the run. Say by Next year we should have a market that responds to the Technicals

Hello Gurus, please i plan to buy shares(P.O) in my Business name but because i don't have a company seal, i intend to just write the name like an individual .hope it won't affect me.Like if my company name is Joy Peters.I intend to open a CSCS account as an individual with it and when i am buying IPO since they are fond of returning money, to write it as an individual cos there is a space for companies and i would need a seal which i don't have. Please i will await the Lecturer's answers.

RoughCut:

Well FCMB was 223% over-subscribed so expect monies to be returned as well. I think the allotment schedule was posted on n'land last week

@ All,

Pray tell, who can link me to this FCMB allotment schedule? All I can see from yesterday's posts is a reference to it & not a link!
Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by yodiyokun(f): 3:36pm On Feb 12, 2008
Thanks guys, Obviously NigerianSec has their info skewed.

faketan:

Please Pumping, AKtopgun, yodi etc, make una helep talk to me. Wetin I go do for this kind gbese nah. my CSCS is showing a blank sheet. Wetin I go do?
I opened the account in January anyway. Does anyone know how long it takes before the statements begin to show.
Abeg make una helep.

Your CSCS account should not be blank except its a new account and you havent done any trading on it yet.

Any trades within any month should reflect in your account for that month.

Talk to your broker.

Madam Ndidi should be told that this is a new dawn for NSE investors, we want infor and sharp sharp too.

The days of keeping certificates under the bed are long gone, never to be returned to again !!!.

I think FCMB allotment was stated in www.stockmarketnigeria.com - check the FCMB thread there for the allotment schedule.

Frankly I don't think you should panic. This is not a live CSCS account you are looking at. I had this experience with cashcraft when they were still my brokers. I did not see anything for a while. Since your account was only opened in January, I'd say not to worry. The broker may not have uploaded your status as at end of January at CSCS. Your best option is to access your CSCS account online.

I am getting tempted to sell my FBN -- chei,

25% in just 3 weeks na wa ooo for this elephant ooo.

make we dey look sha.

But seriously, every investor should have FBN has part of their long term portfolio. That Bank dey deliver to investors.

Lest I forget, to share the rewards of long term investing, I just discovered that my dividends from my GTB shares have paid 2ce over for the cost of the shares. This is excluding price appreciation of almost 600% and zero trading cost except I wan sell now.

For any risk averse investor, Long term value investing is still the proven way to go - its food for thought.
