Prophetic activisit of the Niger Delta State; Ken Sarowiwa


The prophecies of Sariwo against the bigoted system is looming over the air that we breadth as the oneNigeria awaits hazardous missiles of war in the hope of fragmenting into pieces of sovereign parts. His words of patriotism during the trial after which he was untimely sent into an asylum of no return are manifesting through revolutionary path where the fate of the nation remaining as one is now hanging on a thread made of frail wool--resource control as the only option to avert the break up.

I wish he was still in his mortal days to witness his protegees in the delta paddling on his wheel of objective to end up the prolonged marginalization of a people in possession of the land that feeds the entire nation. From where his redemptive inspiration springs forth no one is aware but as I know, he is one genius in history whose pen and papers are more deadly than explosives of contemporary age. Even at the verge of deing he wrote, penned and inked about the travails targeted on the Deltans by the Government of Nigeria; and dauntlessly exercised his fundamental human right in attempt to liberate his people from a fiendish spell that has impaired our tongues and spirit from confronting the enemies who flag under the guise of brotherhood.

Even as he was unjustly branded by the then goliath(General Sani Abacha) as a fellenious fellow, he gave no chance for compromise but rather renewed his spur and passion in his srtide to speak for the voiceless and hopeless syndrome of the region.

Everyone one knows Abacha as one whose wrath travels with speed of light to witch haunt anyone deemed a traitor under his regime but Sarowiwa was never detered nor flinched from saying the truth, knowing these stakes could spark up the flame of his own death. He heroically accepted the fate of deing for what he beleived was worth deing for--freedom.

Unlike the puppeteers and cowards who represent us at the state level, he shall be remembered for greatness as long as history speaks of the liberation of the oppressed minority.
