I lost my administrator password and am battling cos I can't install. Am thinking of reloading or formatting the system but how do I even format this system without my administrator permission on Windows 8. Pls good friends help out.

you can take it to a computer expert for clean re-Installation. Since they will be doing that without a password, there is a high probability that you won't get a backup of any of your files.
