Africa Clean-up Conference 2016. (#ACC2016)

Africa Clean-up Conference is an international conference aimed at bringing together Nation Builders, Environmental Sustainability Champions, Lovers of the Environment, Government Agencies and Officials on a round table to discuss how they can individually and collectively contribute to environmental sustainability.

The theme for this year's conference is: ENGAGING LOCAL COMMUNITIES ON SUSTAINABLE BEST PRACTICE IN SANITATION AND WASTE MANAGEMENT
Africa CleanUp conference is set to appreciate the unending efforts of a group of global citizens which includes passionate and committed stewards of the environment from all around Africa who would be meeting to negotiate on achieving the sustainable development goals of, 2030 agenda relating to sanitation, climate change, recycling and waste management.

Generally, the level of awareness about sanitation and environment in Nigeria is improving, the federal government is beginning to give it top priority. A case in point is the Cleanup Ogoni Project which is really gaining momentum.

The Lagos situation is improving greatly with the help of the waste management companies and recycling agencies that are really committing their resources towards waste management.

The government on their part also is really putting lots of effort in creating an enabling environment for people and organisations to explore the opportunities around waste management.

Regulations and favourable Policies from the government need to be put in place, which will encourage private and public partnerships and also improve the state of waste management in the country.

The Africa Clean up Conference is expected to attracts delegates across Nigeria and Africa, which also presents an excellent opportunity to acquire knowledge, share ideas, and network.

The Africa Cleanup Conference will also feature a Green fair; creating a platform for people or organisations that have products or services that focuses on environmental sustainability to showcase their products or services

The Award is in 10 Categories,selected delegates is totally based on merit, credibility, and impact

This maiden edition, tagged “Africa Clean-up Awards 2016” will hold at BANEX HOTEL & SUITES - 60 Olorunlogbon Street, VOM Estate, Near Anthony Police Station, Anthony - Maryland, Lagos, Nigeria on Saturday, 25th June, 2016 by 5pm. The event, which is expected to be grandeur in style, will attract Environmental Sustainability Champions and Philanthropist across Africa to the Award Ceremony.

The Africa Clean-up Award for Excellence is in conjunction with the Africa Clean-up Conference that is being powered by Passion House International and endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Environment in Abuja, Nigeria, Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Africa Youth Initiative on Climate Change in The Gambia amongst others.
