In order to achieve effective and efficient policing, there is need for the Nigeria Police Force to equip and train its personnel with relevant ICT skills. In order to further achieve and ensure ICT literacy, the Nigerian Police through its Nigerian Police Force Microfinance Bank has inked a partnership with Intel and Airtel.

The partnership will see Intel, one of the world’s largest and leading technology company known for chip making and based in the United States of America to provide affordable and quality devices for the Nigerian police force while Airtel, one of Nigeria’s telecommunications giants will provide affordable data bundles and the the Nigerian Police Force Microfinance bank will handle the financing aspect for acquisition and payment for the devices. Airtel Nigeria and the Nigerian Police has long been partners with the Telecoms Company providing the Nigerian police with a dedicated SIM “Polcom line” which allows for calls at very cheap tariff.
