Singer, Omawumi Megbele, known simply as Omawumi, has opened up on how she almost aborted her first child.
She is glad that she did not get rid of her first pregnancy, a baby girl she gave birth to in 2011.
“I just remembered the journey and how everything just arranged itself. What if I had done it differently waiting for the appointed time? Who knows whether it would have turned out all wrong?
…I hope I’m not raining on anyone’s aspirations, my own na say find happiness in the moment.”
The singer, who gained attention as the 2007 runner-up on West African Idols, later got married to the father of her daughter in 2015 at the Ikoyi Registry in Lagos. The couple were in 2015 got blessed with another baby, a boy.
