My Experience Using New Age Power Bank by 2SWT(f): 11:03am On Jun 28, 2016
Hi everyone, a week ago, I noticed my phone battery capacity is not enough so I decided to buy a power bank. I actually wanted to buy a tecno power bank (since I've seen many people using it and it's reliable) I however couldn't get it at the shop close by so I decided to try the new age power bank since the seller said a lot about it and people there confirmed it, so I bought it N2500 4000mah.

I got home feeling happy that I've got a power bank so I can do a lot of things without fear of my battery running down (un)fortunately there was light all through that day so I didn't use it. The next day I was in class all through since exams are close I didn't use it also.

Finally on the third day I used it and it couldn't charge my phone up to 30% I was kinda disappointed but maybe it's not well charged I thought. I charged it when there was light and it even did worse after charging. It charged ten seconds and went off. I felt disturbed so I returned it the person said he couldn't take it cos he has already sold it. He said he doesn't take back things he has already sold and almost embarrassed me there.

I feel bad about it till now I just wasted money. Nairalanders pls is there anyway I can reach the company and lay my complains or has anybody experienced same?

What's your charger input and output? Because this determine the charging rate of 4000mah power bank that you bought

That is not a 4000mah new age power bank (in fact it is 4400 not 4000. I have used the 4400mah and it is quite smaller than that. Probably that is the aba made. Am currently using the 6000mah for my 2200 battery capacity and I can proudly say it serves it's purpose efficiently

Do you know what you are saying?

@2SWT
A standard 10400 mah powerbank cannot be less than 5000 naira while the 20000 mah should be about 8000 to 13000 depending on brand.

Buy original powerbanks online or accredited stores. A good one is the Innjoo e6 which is 5000 from Jumia/konga or import brands like xiaomi from stores like geekbuying.com or banggood.com

I use the xiaomi 16000 mah and its near perfect.

I have a New Age 8000mah I have been using for two months. It is working perfectly. When I had Infinix Hot 2, I would charge it fully once and my iPhone 4S twice. Of course, I start charging when they are at around 20%. The Infinix is 3000mah and the iPhone 1500. It seems you bought a fake one. Xiaomi, Oraimo and New Age power banks are good.

Bro, it's been a while I checked. But I am very sure a 20,000mAh Power Bank is, at most, #6,000.

You are not alone

I bought this same trash at Slot about that time

Charged it for days, no result

Continued Charging while searching for the small receipt

I could not locate the receipt, but still went to the shop to tell them my experience, but they did nothing ...

I guess it's 'Begining of the end' for a Nigerian Brand ....

The Land is Green .... cool

Na fake plenty for market now. I've been using newage powerbank now going to 4 years, two months after I got the same type for my dad and its still performing though it doesn't last like it used to but still serves me. Bought it 2013 at ladipo.
I got 2 other brands after it to compliment but all don spoil na only that newage remain.
