Justice Sule Hassan of a Federal High Court in Lagos on
Tuesday ordered the prison remand of former ministers,
Femi Fani-Kayode and Nenandi Usman over money
laundering.

The two former ministers were charged by the Economic
and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) alongside one
Danjuma Yusuf and a company, Joint Trust Nigeria Limited, on alleged money laundering to the tune of N4.9 billion.

Justice Hassan ordered the prison remand of the accused
persons soon after their arraignment pending when he will
hear their bail applications on Friday.

Fani-Kayode and Usman, former ministers of Aviation and
Finance respectively, had pleaded not guilty to the 17 count
charge preferred against them by the anti- graft agency.
