They say it’s better to stick with what you know but this doesn’t stop many people from trying their hands out on new things. Some of our actors, we agree are multi-talented and have over time and after making a name for themselves, delved into music to try to conquer that space too. This new venture did not quite work out well for most of them and they eventually gave up and went back to their first love, acting.

She is definitely one of Nigeria’s leading actresses and has won several awards to that effect. She released a track a few years back ‘No more’ and even made a video for it. The song gained a lot of traction but for all the wrong reasons as people wondered why she decided to go into music when she has already ‘made it’ in acting by Nigerian standard. She hasn’t done anything in that light since then.

He is also one of Nigeria’s long time actors who has proven himself and garnered a wide fan base. He tried to break into the Nigerian music industry with a single ‘who am I’ featuring 2face Idibia and another single ‘Born To Do This’ in which he featured Mike Word and Puffy T. None of this seemed to make its mark in the music industry and he has since gone back to strictly acting.

John Okafor

He is the well know Mr Ibu, best known for his comedy and humorous actions. He released his album and video a few years ago but we can’t say for sure if only his village people bought it or not. He ended up sticking with what he is good at, acting.

Shan George

She is an actress of note and has been acting for a very long time and has a large fan base. She dabbled into music and had a number of tracks and an album which couldn’t cope in the competitive music industry in Nigeria. She has also backed off music for acting which she is good at.
