To remain in the business world of today there are three dynamic basic principles that all businesses operates , Discovery, Creating, and Creating (DCR) these are the dynamic factors of business creation. In course of the discussion of these factors I use Mr. Francis Nneji a successful Nigerian business man as a case study, using his brief practical life experiences to buttress today’s business talk.


1. Discovery
Discovery is the initiation of every creation

Mr Francis Nneji business sojourn. Mr. Francis started his business empire far long ago when he was in secondary school; he attended Mbaise Secondary school Aboh-Mbaise Imo state. As a senior student he was appointed the social prefect because he is a very social person and processes this leadership skill that carries everyone along. As the social prefect whenever his school sport team has an inter-school sport engagement outside the school, he took it upon himself to always secure the transportation that would convey the sport team to and fro. Back then the available means of mass transportation was the old rugged lorry called “Gbongboro” by the Igbos. Mr. Francis really has business flowing through his veins from the onset, he would make very smart business deals and bargain kids of his age back then wouldn’t of have thought of. Here is a perfect example of what I mean Mr Francis would bargain particular transport fare with the lorry driver and collect a higher transport fare from his school mate e.g. he will agree a fee of 30naira to convey the boys to and fro for the journey and go back to charge the boys 50naira, making 20naira profit per head.


2. Creating
Creation is the action of bringing to life

Mr Francis Nneji graduated from school secondary and gained admission into the University of Nigeria Nsukka. He carries on his leadership traits into the higher institution which bagged him another leadership appointment in the school student union (SUG) as the secretary for transportation affairs, a position he handled diligently. Shortly after his graduation from the university; as an entrepreneur minded young man that he is Mr. Francis approached the defunct Progress Bank for a loan. He shared his intelligent business idea with them, and after series of talks the loan was granted to him. He established Rapido industries limited with the loan granted to him, Rapido industries was the foremost sole distributor of white board markers.


3. Re-Creating
Re-Creating is a further act of creation (Innovation)

His business prowess and knowledge kept waxing stronger; he was successful with the establishment of the Rapido Company, the success story of his first company brought about the creation of ABC Transport. The good old and rugged Urvan bus were among Mr Francis Nneji first vehicle purchases for his transport business, the was the birth of innovation and the new phase in transport business in Nigeria. Mr Francis didn’t create just any other Transport company he created a transport company with class and innovation. He was the first person to introduce bus transport ticketing, he made his bus tickets look like an Air board pass. His transport company was also the first to serve passengers with food and drinks. They kick started their transport route with plying Wedra Owerri to Lagos before extending into a nationwide and now a cross-country covering neighboring African countries.

The key the creation of any business empire starts with (DCR)……Discover…..Create…..and….Re-Create…
