I have kept wondering if I am the only one who ever gets charged or overcharged by Firstbank for irrelevant and unknown transactions. Just two days ago, I was charged NGN208 for " SMS alert charges" and then just this evening I got another message which reads "Your Acct 306XXXX... Has Been Debited with NGN1,978.40 On 03-JUL-2016 19:08:49 By Account Maintenance Fee June-2016...." and not up-to a minute later another message came which reads "Your Acct 306XXXX... Has Been Debited with NGN98.92 On 03-JUL-2016 19:08:49 By VAT on Account Maintenance Fee June-2016....." That brings a total charge of not less than NGN2,000. I think I should just go ahead and close the account after withdrawing everything inside. please NLs is there a way to rectify this or is it their way of defrauding innocent citizens?

Same happened to me today...I was debited 6000k for no just cause...am closing the account....period, come to think of it...what would have happened if I had 1k balance?
