How Long Does It Take To Reroute A 40G Service In An Optix OSN 6800 System ? by jorna: 7:30am On Jul 07, 2016
In the case of an OptiX OSN 6800 system configured with the ASON function, it takes about one minute to reroute a 40G service.
Product

OptiX OSN 6800. OSN8800
Fault Type

ASON
Symptom

None.
Cause Analysis

In the case of an OptiX OSN 6800 system configured with the ASON function, it takes a relatively long time to reroute a service. The standard time is within two minutes and is generally about one minute.
This is because the TDC of a 40G wavelength spends a relatively long time searching for dispersion. If the system performance is good, the dispersion search time of the TDC will be shorter and the service rerouting time will be shorter accordingly.
Procedure

None.
Result

The problem is resolved.
