you can be very intelligent without being educated but can't be brilliant without education one very good example is that there are people who are excellent in writing and speaking English but that's all they know out of all the courses in school.that group of people are very brilliant in English but olodo in general terms. there are many inventors who dropped out of school and were not good academically but its only an intelligent man who can make something new with his brains 2 Likes |

Intelligent is you knowing and understanding from the basic/fundamental to the to peak/complex. Brilliance is you utilizing what you know to bring about perfection and creativity. Intelligence can be expected from anyone even the illiterates but Brilliance is only seen in professionals, who have practiced overtime in one line of activity of using intelligent experiences gathered overtime. Intelligence: The ability of some person to deal with complex problems, understand complex situations, and communicate in high level information. Brilliance: A quality of a person that makes him stand out among peers. especially on an intellectual level. Intriguing, elegant, so on. Quick Example: An intelligent person would be some one that easily understood fourier transforms. a brilliant person would be joseph fourier himself, who invented it. Intelligence is a quality of the brain, it's more related to being smart. Brilliance is a quality of "Special" It's more related to excellence. 2 Likes |

Brilliance and intelligence? Wow!! I will take them as equally substitutable one for another. They are both perfect substitute. A fellow that has a solution to a problem that none was able to solve,would or can be declared more intelligent or brilliant. Depending on the context sha.... A rabbit saw many people running after it,dribbled them all and escape.. Thatz quite intelligent of it,to do the perfect trick.... Could that be brilliance? I think Intelligent has a little more utility in context than brilliance tho. But in asessment of prowess in understanding of a phenomenon,using the comparative more....both are more aptly the same thing. @Op u and your fellow sabi talk fah. |

ThundrCork: Intelligence is nearer to Wisdom than Brilliance Experts and Managers need intelligence while specialist and the lab rats needs Brilliance If you can cram words and figures and reproduce them accurately to pass exams and make first class, you are brilliant but if you are very good in "Transfer of Knowledge", then you are intelligent Intelligent people do not really need book knowledge that is why some of them dropped out of school, however any of them that can combine book knowledge with their intelligence is super cool.
