To the brave man who chose the hardest way,
Undeterred by the dangers, he chose to stay.
Not promised to see the next day,
Yet he bravely chose to stay.

Ear-drum filled with the sound of flying ammunition,
But all he hears is the sound of an impending victory.
Nostrils filled with stench from the battle ground,
But all he smells is victory.

His sight is filled with various degrees of gore,
But all he sees is an imminent victory for the motherland.
Never scared to taste death,
He’ll rather die than watch his beloved nation get defeated.

Hoping for the best, always prepared for the worst,
But it takes a lot to prepare for the worst.
Whether he stands able, battered, or back to dust,
He remains the pride of his Nation.

To the bravest people out there!
The ones who have no guns to hold on to, just hope and courage:
The spouse and children of our gallant soldiers and gentlemen officers,
Only hope sees them through the fear and worries in their mind.

Dedicated to the gallant soldiers and gentlemen officers who are gladly defending our nation, to these special ones who have to put their lives on the line for the mistakes of our terrible leaders.
BokoHaram in the North East, Niger Delta militants in the South, Fulani Herdsmen threatening across the states, yet most of us sleep peacefully at nights; we can sleep because these men have sacrificed their sleep for us
They are a few hundreds of thousands, who have taken upon themselves, the burden of about 160 million people.
They deserve our love, respect and prayers.
God bless the Nigerian army and preserve their families.
