hello guys , i bought this domain from web4africa and paid today.

i have uploaded all the files i need to upload to the Public html folder and ofcourse i have recieved a confirmationthat my account has been created but my domain is yet to go live. please what do i do?

its already about 3hours now.

or does it take long for a new domain name to go live?

Op it takes 24hrs for a new domain to propagate (depending on the hosting comapany). So if after 24hrs its not working, then contact your web host. For now, just chillax , okay?

Have you pointed the domain to the nameservers given to you? if you bought the domain and webhost from different companies you need to point your domain before your site can go live else if you like wait for 30 days it will not go live

Did you buy them one after the other or you chose the domian when buying hosting?
First cross check if the nameserver on your domain match the one in the web space details mail they sent to you if they match then wait for 24 hours or use another computer or phone to access the site don't use the one you are using to open the cpanel

I bought the Domain and webspace together
the nameservers on the email and the one online in Cpanel are the same.
ns1.mydomain.org ns2.mydomain.org

ns1.yourdomain.org OR ns1.yourproviderhost.com?

have you contacted them. Between, you did not mention the domain name so one can check it out

I contacted them and the activated it for me. its now working.
