Before buhari go kill us. Na em go die ooo... we no go die. This is cause because of 2 major things. Forex scarcity- Manufacturer, business men, oil guys can't get dollars, so they r owing these banks. And TSA-Government took out the money that these banks are using to cushion themselves and do business. Good riddance. |

234GT:d This kind of information needs to be properly worded if at all it's going to get into the public domain. At this level the right words need to be used and not general panic button statements like we are monitoring more Banks. "The Director, Banking Supervision, CBN, Mrs. Tokunbo Martins, said “one or two” commercial banks had failed liquidity tests but they were not in the same situation as Skye." If a whole CBN director cannot be cautious with words then we are in a mess Just that line alone can erode market shares and values of any bank |

aaronson:Nah, u don't still don't understand, wen TSA was initiated in. 2014, it has a 3years period to allow the banks balance. And it was going to be implemented stages by stages. Go and read about the initiative by GEJ very well. U don't rush such things. |

kaorama: How can they. Why should they. So that you people can crash the system. Its a good heads-up but must be managed with wisdom to provide just enough correct information to cut off rumours and speculation but not too much to avoid panic. And be as positive as a Pentencostal Pastor. |

visijo: liquidity pronunciation - (IPA): /lɪkˈwɪdəti/ noun - (finance) The degree of which something is in high supply and demand, making it easily convertible to cash My Picasso painting is not very liquid, it would take me months to sell it. Gold on the other hand is convertible to cash at any moment, making it a very liquid commodity. - (uncountable) The state or property of being liquid. - (economics) An asset's property of being able to be sold without affecting its value; the degree to which it can be easily converted into cash. Some stocks are traded so rarely that they lack liquidity. - (finance) Availability of cash over short term: ability to service short-term debt. translations (finance: availability of cash over short term) |
