Hey guys, Can a graduate mechanical engineer from Nigerian school stand tomorrow and design something of his...... Do they even do practicals of whatever they are taught in school or is it just theory? So also other courses...... can an engineering graduate really do so what he's supposed to when graduated from a Nigerian school...?..

And also is there any university in Nigerian offering robotics and mechatronics?

The Nigerian educational sector is based mostly on the theoretical aspect, never really exposing students to the practical aspect of engineering. That is why we have so many graduates of mechanical engineering, but little or no inventive prowess whatsoever.
However, most private universities offering the course, have made provisions for their students to have a hands-on approach towards their engineering studies. They provide equipment and each student is able to make use of them. I think this will be better for engineering aspirants.

I think Bells University of Technology, Ota has mechatronics courses. I was to study that, but the Nigerian educational system hasn't really taken it seriously. Besides that, most people in Nigeria don't really know anything about mechatronics.... As such, employment opportunities may be reduced, as compared to that of mechanical engineers.

Thank heavens..... also have someone else wanting mechatronics to be studied in Nigeria...... even though it does get approval...... Common this is naija. it won't be an in depth practical study cos there won't be adequate funding
