Nigeria Will Not Be Defending Afcon Title in Equatorial Guinea.

The latest FIFA football ranking shows that the Nigerian Super Eagles have dropped a whooping 9 places to occupy the number 70 spot.

Algeria is ranked Africa’s best team and they come in at No. 32 while a host of other countries, including Uganda are ranked even better than the Super Eagles.

Overall, Argentina is ranked the best team in the world despite their Copa America loss while the Copa America Champions, Chile are ranked fifth behind Belgium, Colombia and Germany.

Euro 2016 winners, Portugal are ranked 6th with France and Spain coming in at 7th and 8th respectively.

Good for us, we need to go back to the basics. Build a team that will be around for 8 years (2 world cups).. we can do it, we have the talents.

For me it's about having the right coach that will turn this talents into Africa beaters then later become world beaters.

You might say admin side of the game too, but in the years we did well, our football admin still had issues. Hopefully we can get it all sorted out and plan for 2019 nations cup.
