Many people actually don't like to read, and for such people, words hardly catch their attention. A lot of people have clothes they've worn severally without noticing what's written on them. My friend bought a very nice looking T-shirt for her son that read 'I am a little demon'. I was the one who pointed it out and she screamed confessing she had never noticed it, she just tot it to be a nice looking shirt. This happens not only with clothes, people have stuff like cups, plates and other items lying around their houses for years and they've never taken note of the inscriptions on them.
