Fear is a normal human emotion. But if what you fear is really not very dangerous, and you fear it so much that it causes emotional and physical distress, you could have a disorder called a phobia. Symptoms of phobias include panicking, pounding or racing heartbeat, difficulty in breathing, and desire to get away *to ran as fast as your leg can carry you*

Categories of phobia:

-Animal phobias: like the implies,it's a fear of animal. Examples include the fear of snakes, spiders, rodents, and dogs.

-Environmental phobias: fear of natural things around us. Examples include fear of heights, storms, water, and of the dark.

-Situational phobias: fears that is triggered by a specific situation or happenings

-Blood-Injection-Injury phobia: fear of blood, injection, needles or anything abt medical issues.

Mine is a situational phobia called "Phonophobia": fear of a sudden, unexpected loud noise, having migraine atimes as a result.

So nairalanders, what's yours?
