Pls any eye doctor in the house? Please give me more insight on this eye problem. smiley

I am not a doctor but I was diagnosed of that. Use sun glasses always to reduce the growth of the disease. Uv rays enhances the growth of the disease.

cn use google. if i start explaining i may nt b able to xclude d use of medical terms. i tink google cn hlp out. if u aint stil clear after dt, den u cn ask specific questions.

@optm i already googled it. I jst want to knw how severe the situation is. Is it something one outgrows?

I'm not an eye specialist however you could use a little more insight :
> Firstly I hope ur not mixing up a pinguecula with pingueculitis, as the latter usually arises from the former.
> With respect to Outlook (prognosis), it's not a condition you necessarily outgrow. However you could be lucky if what you have is a benign (friendly) ping as compared to the slowly growing variant.
> My advice is this : If you're not comfortable with the pinguecula, you may want to consider the surgical option for cosmetic reasons. For pingueculitis, an anti-inflammatory agent is more helpful. However, you should see a specialist eye doctor.

Thnk u. I have seen a specialist. I think its nt as serious as i thot it was.

the inflammation could b taken care of bt d pinguecula (d localized yellowish mass) would remain. it isnt a serious issue though jst dt it cld cause minor discomfort when inflamed.
