What of the first screen shot that informed me that I was given 1GB after a recharge of #500 ?

The issue is the OP wasn't entirely wrong...... You ain't wrong either.... MTN is just confused.

Oga, understand English first.
You recharged #500 and then #100, right? You'll obviously get 100mb
The deal is if you recharge #600 straight, you'll get your 500mb rather than various accumulations of recharges

Now, there's no #600 card anywhere or #750 anymore. So, most people recharge online with #501. If you can't recharge from your account then your only option is #1000

Understand?

Also I was at techplus even yesterday and Mtn agents were sharing a pamphlet, get 7gb for just 2,000 naira. I've not tried it but will try it after I exhaust my data.

For your mind , you make sense. Why will mtn give you a message that you have been credited with 1gb when your were actually given 100MB?

Glo offers 10gb at N2500 so MTN giving 7gb at 2k isn't out of ordinary. It's pretty much the trend now.

I reasoned like you in the past but found out that the problem is not the amount of data given to you but how well you can browse with the network.

1.5gb for 1k on mtn is better than 5GB for 1k on glo.

The point I'm trying to emphasize here is that I have recharged N500 just now, not the paper pin tho, and still got the 1gb bonus. I don't know if it has to do with the recharge method or something.

You will receive a message that you have been given 1gb but when you check your balance you will see 100mb

Of cos, me too I browse with mtn, not Glo. But I was talking about the data volume and I said since Glo could offer 10gb at 2500 albeit on paper, mtn can also do 7gb at 2k. I'm even sure more juicy offers are still on the way.

Let me break if down for you this way with a simply login every one will understand

Let X be the amount recharged at a time.

X > N500 you get 1GB

200 <= X =<500 you get 100MB
