Kennedy Ekezie-Joseph, a 3rd Year student of Philosophy in the University of Calabar has been appointed as the Assitant Chief Adjudicator for the 2016 Edition of the Hobart and William Smith Colleges InterVarsity Debate Tournament popularly known as the "HWS IV 2016". The appointment was announced by Professor Eric Barnes, the Director of Debate at the American University onthe 25th of July 2016. He is the only African representative on the Chief Adjudication panel of the Tournament, and University of Calabar is extremely proud to breed such incredible talent. Kennedy, one of the Best Debaters in Africa, just returned from the All Nigeria Universities Debating Championship at Covenant University where they ranked 2nd overall in the Nation, a Tournament at which he was hitherto Best Speaker. He will also serve as the Deputy Chief Adjudicator at the African Universities Debating Championship in December 2016 in Zimbabwe. We are proud of Kennedy, the University of Calabar debate Club for this huge achievement and call on the University of Calabar management to recognize and properly award and congratulate Kennedy on this feat and keep encouraging students to do the University proud
