HTC Desire 628: Back Up App Data & Contacts by Andrew42(m): 8:38am On Aug 02, 2016
Back Up App Data:
a. Open the apps drawer
b. Launch “Settings”
c. Scroll to “Personal”
d. Tap “Backup and reset” and, if necessary, tap “Backup account” > “Google account” > “Add account”
e. Sign in with the Google account you want to use for backup
f. Enable “Back up my data” and “Backup account”

Back Up Contacts on a Google or HTC Account:
a. Ensure the phone is connected to an active Wi-Fi network
b. Open the apps drawer
c. Launch “Settings” and scroll to “Personal”
d. Tap “Backup and reset” > “Backup account”
e. Select “Google account” or “HTC account”
f. To enable automatic daily backups over Wi-Fi, turn on “Automatic backup”
g. To back up contacts manually, tap “Back up now”
