Okagbare is a Nigerian track and field athlete who specialises in long jumping and short sprints. She is an Olympic and World Championships medalist in the long jump, and a world medallist in the 200 metres. She would be competing in the Women’s long jump, 100m 200m and 4x100m relay.

2. Segun Toriola is competing in the Olympic for a record seventh times at the Rio Olympics. He has won several international championships and tournaments. His biggest achievement at the Olympics has been reaching the Men’s Singles 1/16 final at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, beating amongst others former world number 1 Jean-Michel Saive as well as David Zhuang. His 1/32 match-up with Jean-Michel Saive was seen by many as one of the highlights of the Men’s Singles Tournament. He narrowly lost 4-3 to heavily favoured Oh Sang-Eun in the 1/16 final. The 41- year-old is yet to win an Olympic medal so he will be fighting hard to get one, after becoming the African with the most appearance at the Olympics.

She would be representing the country in the Athletics Women’s 400m dash and the Athletics Women’s 4 x 400m Relay. Bamgbose, who graduated from University of Notre Dame with a degree in Information Technology Management from the university’s Mendoza College of Business was the 2015 ACC Indoor 400 Meter Champion.
