I formatted windows, but even before then all my files disappeared. Is it possible to recover those files? i know about handy recovery but its share ware i need something free. thanks |

There's a utility/software called GetDataBack for NTFS and getdataBack for FAT32. I have a fully functional copy, and it works pretty well. You may have to do the recovery using ANOTHER computer, though. |

because If you use YOUR Pc, the partition you are trying to recover data from is the same as the one from which windows is running. Windows may recover some data and save it on top of some of the sectors it will be recovering next! |
