The long hair struggle is one we all know.
Your friends are having hair length of 16 inches and such. But your hair has refused to grow longer than 8inches. You’re always like

Don’t worry, we’ve got you. If you want your natural hair to grow longer, here are some simple things to try:

1. Moisturizing is the way
Our hair is prone to dryness. Dry hair breaks easily. Moisturizing your hair with oils such as coconut, shea butter, jojoba oil and more keeps them soft. It prevents breakage and helps you retain length.

2. Trim split ends
It sounds weird, cutting hair off to make it grow. But this works wonders. You know those split and damaged ends of your hair? Cutting off half or quarter inch helps keep them from working their way to the roots and damaging your hair

3. Deep Condition always
Deep conditioning sounds like an under sea thing right? It’s a technique for conditioning your hair that helps it retain moisture and keeps it soft. After applying conditioner, use a shower cap to cover your hair for 30-40 minutes. Then wash. Do this at least once a month to keep your hair beautiful.

4. Protective styling is bae
You know how you keep tugging your hair or touching it? That doesn’t help it’s growth. This is why you need proective styles like box braids, Ghana weaving, crotchet twists etc. They protect your hair from the pressures of constant maintainence. Also, don’t carry protective styles for months on end. Switch them up as your hair needs to breath.
