Job position: BBQ & Intercontinental Dishes Chef

Salary range: N30,000 to N70,000 monthly ( based on performance on the job, skill set & experience )

Location: Lokogoma, Abuja

Job Description:
A rich cultured restaurant /Cafe is seeking highly motivated and hardworking Chefs who are very creative and obsessed with creating and constantly improving unique recipes to join its team. Applicants must have a verifiable history of high performance, creativity and good work ethics. The restaurant/ Cafe highly regards and rewards staff for high food quality delivery, excellent customer service, good customer relationship building , creativity , team work and collaborations .

Responsibilities:
• Successful candidates would be primarily responsible for preparing BBQ and intercontinental food items such as Shawarma, grilled chicken wraps, chicken salad, burgers, grilled sandwiches, intercontinental dishes and so on. The required recipes will be provided for the candidate to follow.
• Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining the kitchen and other kitchen operations that may arise besides the primary responsibility mentioned above.
• Successful candidates will also be given the opportunity to develop his/her recipe for items within the category of food being sold.
• Successful candidates must work and collaborate with team members in other departments. This will be part of the performance evaluation.

Skill / basic qualifications required
• At least 2 years experience working in a commercial kitchen is required but a minimum of 1 year maybe considered
• Verifiable professional culinary training certification is an advantage
• Ability to work effectively with teams
• Must be creative and a good problem solver
• Ability to make other items such as pastries , juices, smoothies, ice cream and the likes is a plus
• Internet and social media savvy is a huge advantage
• Ability to pay attention to details and strictly follow instructions
• Good hygiene is compulsory. Zero – tolerance for poor hygiene
• University graduate is an advantage but not compulsory
• Effective communication skills and ability to speak English fluently is compulsory
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and multitask
• High passion for learning new things, fast learner and ability to work with minimum supervision
• Must be very proactive and a fast thinker
