According to a report, Cultists belonging to Eiye confraternity on Monday invaded Ogijo community in Ikorodu, Lagos State, killing a DPO.

Ita Elewa, Ogijo and almost every part of Ikorodu is rampage by cultist.

Although the identity of the DPO could not be ascertained, our source learnt that the cultists carried out an earlier threat to attack the community.

Spokesperson for the state police command, Dolapo Badmus, could not be reached for comments.

They reportedly overpowered policemen drafted to the area, forcing shops to close.
Last Friday, the cultists were beaten back by s combined team of mobile policemen and vigilantes.

The community has been gripped by regular attacks by cultists and militants, who killed residents and robbed them of their belongings.
