The 5 essentials of a good student life by mubarak89(m): 9:35am On Aug 10, 2016

Do you know of certain students who appear to have everything working out for them? They hardly complain of anything.

It looks as if they are living the best possible kind of life on campus and in fact, other students sometimes envy them.

For such students, life is good. They are living the good student life. A student life that is satisfying, at ease, effective, pleasant, enjoyable and much more.

A student life that seems to be without any form of hardship.

And in case you’ve never seen such students before and are doubting if they exist especially in Nigerian schools, then I want you to know that I have seen a good number of them.

It is true that many of such students have got that kind of life mainly because they come from wealthy homes, however there are a very few others who made it happen themselves.

And the crux of the matter is this:
You too can have the good student life; you can make it happen for you.

Now… you may ask: "Is living a good student life really important?"

Well, here’s an important truth:

Students who live a good student life will always graduate well and in turn, become successful soon after they leave school.

Though the definition of a "good student life" varies and is unique to every student, there are 5 essentials that must be present. Therefore, if you wish to live a good student life then all you need to do is to focus and build on these 5 essentials.

They are:

#1. Having enough
There are basically two major things Nigerian students always wish to have enough of:

Time and Money.

Interestingly, students who live a good student live have these two. They have the money and also the time.

They have enough money for handouts, food stuff, good clothes, shoes, and the likes.

And interestingly, because they have enough money they can make more time available for them.

For example, they can always take their laundry to the dry cleaner instead of doing the washing themselves and that buys them more time.

#2. Good friends
Students living a good student life understand the importance of good friends and so they find and keep them.

This is because good friends provide you with support, they know you and still like you. Good friends know why you are school and will not do anything to derail you. They are willing to help when you go broke.

Good friends want you to pass and succeed. They are very helpful and want you to graduate well.

Good friendships are assets. I know a student who graduated and immediately got a great job because her friend introduced her to her dad who is a big shot.

#3. An exciting but healthy lifestyle
The music you listen to, the way you dress, the things you indulge in like partying, clubbing, and in general, the things you eat, and so on constitute your lifestyle.

Students living a good student life always have exciting and healthy lifestyle. A lifestyle that won’t hurt them or others.

#4. Spirituality
Spirituality helps you form your foundation, your values and beliefs. Students who live a good student life understand the importance of being spiritual.

You’ll always find them in the mosque or at the chapel praying or reading the holy books.

#5. Progress
You won’t be a happy student if you don’t make progress.

Students who live a good student life are consistently making progress different areas like in having enough, their academics, spirituality, self-development and in their healthy lifestyle.

Key takeaways:
Want to start living a good student life? I encourage you start with these:

#1. Try to have enough money by taking a part time job or doing a side business on campus.

#2. Focus on having enough time by improving on your time management skills.

#3. Now that you are in school, choose your friendships wisely such that you can bank on them even after graduation.

#4. Stay far away from vices. Avoid bad company and cultism like a plague. Do away with any lifestyle that is injurious. Avoid fights, exam malpractice and every other thing your school authority deems evil.

#5. Don’t be careless about the spiritual part of your nature because it is what makes us who we are. It makes us different from birds and animals.

And finally
Which of these 5 essentials of a good student life do you have?

Having enough, Good friends, An exciting but healthy lifestyle, Spirituality or Progress.

Or is there any other one you think I should add to the list? Drop your comments please.

Thanks for reading.

Yes, there are certainly students, as well as individuals in various stages of life, who appear to have everything working out for them and rarely complain and visit https://myproessay.org/ site there. Some people naturally possess a high level of resilience and the ability to adapt to adversity. They may face difficulties but bounce back quickly and maintain a positive attitude.
