A 36-year-old woman, Monica Mares, and her 19-year-old son, Caleb Peterson, have told everyone who cared to listen that they are ‘madly in love’ and nothing can tear them apart. Although both of them have been ordered to stay away from each other by the court, this does not seem to be working. They are going to be standing trial on incest charges later this year in Clovis, in the US state of New Mexico. If found guilty, they could be sent to prison for up to 18 months. MetroUk reports that even with all these, the odd couple have decided to go public with their affair in order to raise awareness of Genetic Sexual Attraction (GSA) and make it legal for them to have a sexual relationship. Mares, who is now a mother of nine, was said to have given birth to Caleb at age 16 and then gave him up for adoption afterwards. Mother and daughter somehow met again last Christmas after getting acquainted on Facebook. He moved in with her and that was how the ‘love feelings’ started.
