Hi Guys...

I have been using my Canon 7D for sometime now with the 18-135 mm kit lens.

I intend to get a prime lens that would give me optimum details and superior quality of pictures than what the kit lens offer.

I need advice from the professionals. What lens should I go for and what's the price range for these lens...

I am more like an events and lifestyle photographer.

No lies, just go for the Canon 50mm F/1.4 USM. It's $340 compared to the overpriced Sigma with $750.

u can get a canon 50mm f1.8 and a sigma 17-50mm f2.8. they are good in low light and will still u a good shallow depth of field(blur).
