Lord knows Nigeria needs to be an export-based economy, Since exportation has a special share in the economic growth of many advanced and developing countries; as far as making those countries as the strongest countries, the effective factors; in turn, could pave way for progress of countries, particularly the developing countries. Since increase or decrease in currency exchange rate leads to the decrease or increase in export.
Nigeria is endowed with various kinds of resources needed to place her amongst the top emerging economies of the World. Unfortunately, the nation has not adequately benefited from the economic prosperity expected of a nation so richly blessed.
Non-oil exports are products, which are produced within the country in the agricultural, mining, quarrying and industrial sector that are sent outside the country to generate revenue for the growth of the economy, excluding oil products. These non-oil exports include products like groundnut, cocoa, beans, rice, garri, bitter kola, cola nut, gum arabic etc.
The importance of any exchange rate is derived from the fact that is connects the price system of two different currencies, making it possible for international traders to make direct comparison of prices of traded goods.
Looking at this scenario, the naira and dollar issue, it has created a enabling environment for exporters but unfortunately, only little are aware of this.

Exporting From Nigeria

Nigeria is a country naturally blessed and endowed with items that are in serious demand in the export markets around the world. We are not only blessed with solid minerals (besides crude oil) we are also blessed with good climate and weather conditions to support the growth of commodities that are industrially useful in the developed nations.

No wonder an Asian will come into this country with a briefcase and 2-5 yrs down the line, he would have become an employer of labour by harnessing our resources to build wealth for himself via export business opportunities in Nigeria.

Planning And Preparing For Export

While preparing for export, the following should be considered before deciding on the type of products and volume to be exported;
Availability of products - where to get the commodity?
Availability of Market - where do I sell the commodity?
Capital- how much do I have?
Profitability- how much profit can I make from what I have?
Sustainability- for how long can I get this commodity?

On this note, Parvenu Exports will be having another seminar come this Saturday, 27-8-16, on how To Start Your Own Profitable Export Business In Nigeria.

Learn how to access hundreds of serious buyers in the UK and US including their phone numbers and contact address.Understanding how the devaluation of Naira as a result of the fall in oil price coupled with other economic variables offers a favourable environment for exporters of foodstuffs in terms of the profit made.
The Non-oil export business is still at its very primitive stage in Nigeria with a very high potential for growth. Since the export market is all the countries around the world, the market is therefore inexhaustible (especially for Agricultural commodities and other consumables), therefore there space for everyone that will like to earn foreign exchange via the export business.
