It was Edmund Burke that said, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing". When Boko haram started years ago, a lot of Muslims kept quiet while they (the boko haram members) wrecked havoc on innocent Nigerians in the name of Islam even though they knew the terrorists were terribly smearing their religion. It took years before some prominent Muslims started condemning them openly. But alas, it was too late. The damage has already been done. Today you will need God to convince anyone that boko haram isn't fighting an Islamic cause. Today, what we see all around the country is a replication of the boko haram trademark. People killing other people in the name of religion. They claim blaspheming a prophet of Allah warrants mob action against the blasphemer. How pathetic! Is God now so helpless that, mortals will have to fight for Him? Was it stated in the Holy Koran what amounts to blasphemy against the prophet and what punishment to met out to the blasphemer? Do we have laws guiding our conducts as citizens? Does the law provides that we as citizens have right to life and no one has the power to deny us it safe the same law? These and many more questions have been running through my mind since this incidence. Sadly, only a few Muslims are condemning the act openly. Most would rather keep mute, pretend like they are unaware of it or sit on the fence. Sadly also, the law hasn't made a good example of dealing decisively with people who used religion as a cover to maim and even kill others in the past, thereby giving would-be bigots confidence to perpetrate their evil intentions. The earlier every true Muslim who care about his/her religion openly condemn these guys and their actions, the better for us as a nation. If we let this trend unabated, the resultant effect it will have on our nation is better imagined. LET'S SAY NO TO RELIGIOUS BIGOTRY.

And they said islam is a peaceful religion. Or is it that it's divided into two?
