Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has absolved Fulani herdsmen of responsibility for all alleged crimes committed across the country. The Emir described the herdsmen as peaceful, lovable and honest in their dealings with other tribes. He urged Nigerians to ensure that the desired peace and tranquility continued to reign in the nation through harmonious working relationships and honesty. Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari said the deadly crimes committed in the name of Fulani herdsmen are being carried out by aliens.
He said it was not true that Fulani herdsmen were responsible for the destruction of lives and property in some parts of the country stressing that Fulanis were peaceful, lovable and honest in their dealings with other tribes. Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, however, urged individuals to always assess issues and desist from embarking on controversial matters capable of causing disharmony in the country. The monarch stated this yesterday when members of Balogun Gambari community paid him a thank you visit over the elevation of the Balogun Gambari of Ilorin, Alhaji Adedayo Balogun, as the most senior chancellor in Ilorin Emirate Council.
