Burning embers
Just three now are left
The beginning of year's end
Has just begun

New wishes you all have sprung
Out of the old month, goodness you wrung
At midnight today, the bells were rung
Angels in the heavens, God's glory have sung

The embers brightly are burning
The future by Christ surely assured
Slumber no more
Wake up and work some more

Not all wishes will come to pass
Not even for the most beautiful lass
But that you are among those alive in your class
Is enough reason to attend mass

Let this month be full of God's glory
A miraculous month of granted wishes
Happiness, your forte
The world at your feet
The dawn of your reawakening
