The YBNL boss has made it known that he will not part away with money for any international collaboration.

According toTVC E:
Olamide made it clear in a recent interview that he won’t go down the route of parting away with hard earned cash for an international collaboration.

The ‘baddo’ rapper is of the belief that if he puts in theright amount of work, together with the grace of God, his music will speak for him and take him far, giving him the deserved international recognition.

Making reference to Fela Kuti who didn’t have to do any international collaboration yet penetrated the international market.

He said ” Fela no do any international collaboration before they recognize Fela for international market,”Olamide attributes the street as what makes him tick as an artist ” We rep the streets and the street isthe majority” he said

The rapper is reportedly working on releasing his sixth studio album following “Eyan Mayweather” released in 2015...

Yeah, that's because Fela was a musician in the true sense of the word. A music who broke the confines of convention to create his own sound and genre; in addition, he was an activist of the highest calibre.

Olamide, you're good, very good. But the gulf between you and Fela is like from Bariga to the Bahamas. You haven't done a 1000th of what Fela did to garner that international respect.
