Hello Solar Guru in the house I have a solar panel with 260watt (2x130watt) recommended and installed an installer to charge my 200ah battey. The problem is since the day I installed it in July 26th 2016, the highest i have seen is about 120watt, 9amps (lasted for 5secs) but it usuually hover within 10watt to 90watt. If the sun is out it could be 90watt if am lucky.

There are two things I wanna confirm from the guru in the house .

1, for a 260watt panel despite using 30amps MPPT charge controller, is it ok if the panel is outputting 10-90watt on average sun intensity? I am worried cause i am losing about 200watt.

2, If we assume the weather is the cause, what is the likely average watt one can expect from a 260watt panel on a rainy or cloudy day.

3, Finanlly on an a normal sunny day, assuming installation was ok and panel was well positioned, what can be expected?

Need reply for gurus and those who had experience such situations before

The two spikes are a concern. It could be an error or your charger on the inverter is faulty.

With the Chinese solar panels, you should not expect getting more than about 60-70% of rated power. So, 150-180W is what you will see on good days and much lower on bad days. This is assuming that your installation was properly done.

I have similar issue, China people and some Nigeria business partner are scammers. I need a 100watt or 2oowatt panels , any idea of a giid

I have 130W solar panel. Initially when I installed it, I do get upto 3.5 amps, but now, it hardly gets to 2amps. I am confused also. Rated maximum is 7.5A

Well, the weather is a bit cloudy now and have you washed your panel lately, maybe it is dusty, though that shouldn't be a serious problem in the rainy season.

All this solar stuff ehn get k leg. Lot of hype. Mine is 260watt but the highest I have got is 130watt
