If I'm correct, conte was the coach of juventus when Oscar just arrived the bridge and scored two wonder goals against juve in the UCL. That was all where the romance started from. I trust Roman, he doesn't take bullshit likewise me as a fan

Conte was carried away by those 2 goals in Champions league. I couldn't believe Conte could allow Oscar to play up to 80mints against Liverpool.

It just has to do with balance. Antonio Conte likes his defensive midfielders bombarding forward together and tracking back together.

That is why you find Matic and Kante trying to push forward at the same time. Both defensive midfielders trying to play prolific passes and still defend at the same time.

It looks effective on paper but without the right balance in the team, the team is susceptible to counter attacks.

The work is also too much on the defenders and defensive midfielders. They get tired easily. (Notice the weak clearance from Cahill that led to Henderson's goal.)

Conte has to split the team. The less prolific ones like Cahill and Ivanovic should do more defensive work. He needs a Mikel who will sit and protect the defensive players because David Luiz will still bombard forward. When Luiz, Azpilicueta, Kante, Matic, Ivanovic bombard forward, when they lose the ball, there are so much gaps to explore.

So Chelsea needs a balance. Conte will realise it soon. Same mistake by Mourinho.

Oscar has to go. Conte plays him because of he tracks back and defends. Unfortunately, although eye appealing, Chelsea loses perpetrating passes and the attacking force of an attacking midfielder.

Replace Oscar with Fabregas. Replace Matic with Mikel.

What this does is that it allows Mikel shield the defence and cover gaps created by bombarding forward players.

Kante can help create fluidity in the midfield with his long side ways passes and occasionally push forward, knowing Mikel is protecting the back.

Fabregas gets to concentrate on creating chances for the three forward players, Willian, Hazard and Costa.

Mikel balances the team because most only think of going forward. Then tracking back leaves them tired. There are also gaps with all the forward movement.

With Fabregas plugging holes into the defence of the opponents, the forwards, Willian, Hazard and Costa will have more clean chances and Chelsea will not need all the players to create scoring chances.
