Censorship – it’s a hot button issue in the video game world right now. When developers alter their vision to better suit the needs of the market, some gamers treat it like a knife to their heart. But the alternative might just be worse. All around the world, video games have been pulled from store shelves because they were just too much for the community to handle.Whether that censorship is justified isn’t for us to say (but let’s be fair, it probably isn’t). What is instructive is to examine the games that got banned and try to figure out what pisses people off. In many cases, it’s pretty obvious – intense violence, graphic sex, or unsavory themes. And you’ll certainly see your share of those things in the games that follow. But there are other reasons that games get prohibited from sale, and they’re pretty weird.
The games are listed below
-Bully
-Command & Conquer: Generals
-Custer's Revenge
-EA Sports MMA
-Ghost recon Advanced Warfighter 2

-Ghost recon Advanced Warfighter 2
-Grand Theft Auto
-Manhunt 2
-Postal 2
-Rape Lay
-The Guy Game
You should have been more detailed with your list, these games are not all banned worldwide, some were banned in specific countries (usually Australia, the other usual suspects (China, UAE, & other religious countries). Or in the case of Bully, campaigns made by conservative groups who believed the game was about bullying (of course they didn't actually play it to check) tried to get it banned, while it got released in PAL regions as Canis Canem Edit. It did get banned in Brazil. Keith Vaz, a British MP tried to get it banned or re-rated as 18 over here.

Ah Manhunt 2, this one was given an AO (Adults Only) rating in the US, was refused classification in the UK & Ireland, meaning it won't have been released on PlayStation, Microsoft or Nintendo in the US - they refuse to allow AO games, and it would have been banned in the US, UK & Ireland. I even remember MPs going on about it, sef. Coincidentally, the lead MP (Vaz again) that was against it over here, just recently stepped down due to a sex scandal with male hookers, he's married with children. Life's funny that way. Anywho, they re-edited it, US rated it M (Mature), while UK & Ireland still refused to rate it. Rockstar appealed, finally got rated 18 in UK & Ireland. The original Manhunt was actually banned in several countries. In fact, that game was linked to an actual murder in 2004 in the UK.

Postal 2 was banned in New Zealand, Malaysia, Germany & Sweden. It's still very banned in NZ, you can't even import or buy it for your own personal use, you face up to 10 years in prison & fine of NZ$50,000.

GTA always has wahala. Jack Thompson, a US anti-video game activist is always trying to stop Rockstar games (and other games, usually violent ones and/or ones with sexual content) from getting released, and the Hot Coffee incident in San Andreas didn't help. Every conservative group is always campaigning for its ban. Some cases they've succeeded in a temporary one, until a re-edit has been made or a successful appeal. Oh and Jack Thompson got disbarred in 2008, when he tried to get parents of murder victims to say that GTA was accountable for their children's murders.

See dominzy, I made your article a tad more interesting. Get us invested, instead of click-baiting us. We'd willingly go to your site if we're interested in your material.
