Nigeria came last among OPEC countries in crude oil production for the month of August 2016, when compared to July 2016. This is according to the latest OPEC monthly report published on the website of the Oil cartel. Nigeria’s crude oil production dropped 51% month on month to 1468 thousand barrels per day the largest month on month drop for any OPEC country. Nigeria still remains second to Angola in crude oil production in Africa, a situation that has remained since the first quarter of 2016.
