Abuja – Mohammed Sanusi, the General Secretary of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), says the Falconets will return to camp before September ends, ahead of the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Sanusi said on Thursday in Abuja that the federation was fine-tuning arrangements for the camping of the national under-20 women team.
He said the team’s Head Coach, Peter Dedevbo, had submitted plans for the team’s camping and the tournament proper.
“The team will resume camp very soon, before the end of this month in Abuja.
“Even though the federation is yet to approve the coach’s plans, but we hope to give the approval to his plans and the commencement date of the camping as soon as possible,’’ Sanusi said.
NAN reports that the competition will be the eighth edition of the event, with 16 teams expected to take part in Papua New Guinea.
Nigeria and Ghana will be representing Africa at the championship holding from Nov. 13 to Dec. 3.
Nigeria were runners-up at the 2014 edition, after losing to Germany in the final match in Canada.
