A 60-year-old woman was killed and over 100 houses destroyed by flood in Gummi Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The council’s Vice Chairman, Alhaji Sa’idu Bawa, confirmed the incident on Thursday, explaining that it occurred because of persistent rainfall in the area . Bawa said household materials, food items and animals were also lost to the disaster.
