The Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State
( A.K.A FUTMINNA) has been known as one of the most
prominent Universities of Technology in the country.
Coupled with its outstanding reputation, the number of
applicants pursing degree programmes into various
departments in the institution for the 2016/2017 session.
The most dramatic intent arises when several applicants
applied in some selected department while several others had
little or no applicants. On the basis of this , the institution
might be so magnanimous enough to move some applicant
who do not meet the requirement for the applied department
would be taken to another department with lesser applicants
to occupy the department that are fewer. Terms and

The just concluded 2016/2017 UTME reveals that , FUTMINNA
has a total number of 2,287 Electrical And Computer
Engineering applicants, Civil Engineering 2,194, Mechanical
Engineering 1,637, Mechanical Engineering 1,637, Chemical
Engineering 1,051, and Microbiology 1,357. These
departments just the first five with highest applicants on the
list and are huge. Huge in the sense that, how many
applicants do you think FUTMINNA can offer admission
among all these? You and I know that, the chances is slim
due to the competition.
Funny enough, do you know there are lot of lucrative courses
in FUTMINNA that have only five (4) Jamb applicants? Yes...
You heard me... ONLY FIVE. I was so surprised to also see
courses with just 3 applicants. What this means is that, if
those applicants should pass their UTME and post Jamb, it is
an automatic admission once their O level results has no
issue. Whereas, some competitive courses applicants have no
hope.
The good news is that, you can still change your course to a
less competitive ones before its too late. That is the reason
why, Jamb has given you a second chance to think and make
changes to your mistakes. Do you know you can get change
